Focused on making second chances accessible, Uncle Dave’s offers clean, fully furnished housing to individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration, addiction recovery, or homelessness. We know this business — and we make things easy. At Uncle Dave’s Housing, there are no credit checks, no security deposits, and no unnecessary barriers. We believe that safe, stable housing should be the first step — not the last hurdle — in someone’s journey to recovery and independence. Founded by David “Uncle Dave” Wohlman, whose own story includes overcoming homelessness and addiction, the organization was built with empathy and experience at its core. Each home includes essential amenities like high-speed internet, smart TVs, kitchenware, linens, and laundry access. Live-in house managers, many of whom are program alumni, help maintain a structured, supportive environment rooted in accountability and community. With over 10,000 men served and a growing network of homes across South LA, Uncle Dave’s Housing continues to transform lives with compassion, respect, and an open door policy that truly means welcome.
